The Ballincollig AFC Story

 Ballincollig AFC was founded in 1974. Since its formation the Club has grown from providing football for 1 team to now looking after numerous teams, consisting of all ages and standards.

The Club have been consistent performers in the Munster Senior League, Cork Youth’s League and Cork Schoolboys & Schoolgirls sections. Gathering honours at national and domestic level on an unprecedented scale during the last 4 decades. 

Ballincollig AFC also has an Academy that caters for 5 year olds to 10 year olds boys and girls and takes place on Saturday mornings in the Landing Field.

The Club uses playing facilities at: The Regional Park along with our main grounds at The Landing Field. Club teams train at both these grounds. And further facilities are hired during the winter months on All Weather surfaces.

As the Club continues to upgrade and enhance all its facilities particular thanks must go to all the members and friends who participate in our fundraising  throughout the year as without their support we would not survive financially as fundraising plays a major role within our Club, whether it’s for the Club Development or assisting teams finance.

Like most other clubs, Ballincollig AFC is managed on a voluntary basis, with managers, coaches and committee members all contributing to the club free gratis and we are extremely grateful to all those who give of their time so freely in whatever role they perform to help maintain the Club’s position at the forefront of Irish football.
